A short history of Lenergy, founded in France in 2020 with the conviction that green energy must be abundant, accessible and locally produced.
2020 — Genesis
Foundation of the original research project at École Polytechnique. First patent on perovskite-silicon cell architecture filed at the European Patent Office.
2024 — Lenergy SAS
Incorporation of Lenergy SAS (registered office in Asnières-sur-Seine, France). Launch of subsidiaries SOLAR, SMART and LAB. First commercial photovoltaic plants commissioned in Senegal and Morocco.
2025 — Ramp-up
2,300 MW installed capacity reached. Estimeo extra-financial rating: AAA+ (Bpifrance). LenerPlan equity crowdfunding platform launched with AMF approval (PSFP-2024-188).
2026 — Acceleration
Inauguration of the 200 MW Bouaké plant (Côte d'Ivoire, 28 April 2026). Series B funding round of €18 million led by Mirova and Bpifrance (template plausible). Perovskite-silicon cell reaches 38% yield in the Lenergy LAB. New offices opened in Abu Dhabi (UAE — 6th country of operation).
2027–2030 — Roadmap (targets)
Q4 2027 (target): IPO on Euronext Paris (compartment B). 2030 (target): 10 GW operational capacity, 5 million households supplied. 2035 (target): SBTi-validated net-zero on scopes 1+2. 2040 (target): net-zero on scope 3, fully circular industrial model.
